While I haven't been here too long to know the full story, I have seen there's some invested interest in attempting to locate Elah. My particular gifts make me adept at locating people and things and I have to admit I've felt a bit useless since arriving here.

I'm certain I'm not the only one with an interest in at least trying to look. Which brings me here to ask if anyone else has either started their own search or intends to try looking themselves? It could be beneficial for everyone to know who all is trying.

[ ooc: feel free to talk to each other too here! just though it'd be a good kick off point for people going about with trying to find thing or who already have found things themselves. ]

In essence. One of the teams I was on worked to find and deal with potential threats to our kind. Whatever that threat might be.

That anything like the enhanced?

I can't say without knowing what an enhanced is.

But I can tell you what mutants are in more detail. We have a gene that distinguishes us from humans called the X-Gene. It activates around puberty and grants us different gifts.

You mean like superpowers?

Enhanced are kind of like that, except instead of being born with powers people either modify themselves with machinery... or take a drug that fucks up the body so much that they ...probably die, but sometimes they get powers instead.

We have a few different things like that in my own world as well.

And what are they?

Mutates are what we call those who didn't receive their powers naturally. The manner differs, some were the result of government experiments, spider bites, radiation, other accidents.

We also have some humans that have augmented themselves cybernetically, but I prefer to not think too much on them.

Haven't heard of any of those giving people powers.

Something wrong with modding?

(It might be interesting, they think, if this were a world where the people born with powers are able to live freely but mods are not.)

No, something's wrong with this particular group. They've modded themselves specifically with the intention of going after my people.

Mods killing mutants... not what I'm used to and yet it's really not surprising.

Extremely. Humans created giant robots for the sole purpose of 'protecting' themselves from our perceived threat.

I assume that implies your world has non-humans that are born with powers?

Something like that.

There isn't a lot of publicly available information on them.

Some reporter exposed thier existence a while back.

How unfortunate. Things were certainly easier back home before the world knew intimately about mutants. Though I still do my best to help keep at least some things that happen amongst us as quiet as we can.

I don't think it has much impact either way in this case. Even now, most people will never see one.

(Would people be outraged if they knew the truth? Probably, but it's hard to gauge where they'd direct that outrage.

This person's words are only confirming their suspicions that it wouldn't be the scientists and business owners facing the "justice" of the mob.)
