Plus Ultra!
Shoto
@everyone. If they're trying to prove nessie is real, why don't they just unlock the lake?
Katsuki
You don't have to do that every post.
Izuku
But he intended it for everyone??
Rody
You can't make him leave his friends out. :(

Neither, but I think that could be a justified translation. Clarity was all I needed. It's vague to leave it open ended on what the chipped off item could be.

Though now I'm kinda wondering about how Japanese-style chips sound. You know how to make them?
no subject
[And yes, yes he did. An actual picture of Japanese writing since he's pretty sure they don't have different keyboards on this thing and that if he could understand every written language the text on the network would be pretty daunting.
But it's a picture, just on some paper with: γγ©γ€γγγγ spaced out over it and their corresponding sounds under them. Shoto has also tried to include the food he's talking about, he hasn't tried it, because his diet can't be fries. But he has seen it. On TV or on passing billboards or even friends who have had it.]
That's what it is. My assumption is it's the same way, just fried, stripped potatoes.
no subject
Woah, that's cool. So they're just called Fried Potato? Pretty straightforward.
I think that's the first time I've ever read Japanese! Didn't realize each letter was a sound
no subject
Yes I'd think that's the closest. It's a pretty literal translation, I think. If you want to learn more written Japanese, I can help you. It is sounds, but there are various methods we use to write. Would you like to see your name for instance?
no subject
Cool! Sure, do my name.
no subject
[Yet again another picture of another written description.
It reads and looks as: γγγ£ γ½γ¦γ« with the appropriate lettering underneath it again to give an example of how his name looks.]
Your name is easier than mine since it's foreign, I can write mine similar to yours but in its complete form it looks like this.
[Another picture. Another script using θ½η¦ε as its dialogue and the lettering above it. Obviously last name first.]
This is to show you the difference, I don't expect you to remember how to write my name like that.
[And the picture with γ·γ§γΌγ and its appropriate lettering.]
That's acceptable if you want to learn it.
no subject
Holy crap, yours is complicated looking! Why's your name got two different ways to write it? Is it because it's Japanese?
no subject
Yes, that's your name. Your full name as I know it at least.
It is but it's alright. I got used to it. As for your other questions, yes, sort of. Shoto is also my hero name. Writing it more simply is also easier in that context, too. If you would like, I can leave a word every week for you at your door, you can take as many weeks as you'd like to learn it.
no subject
That actually sounds super cool! That won't be too annoying for you? If you want we can just do it over text if it'll be easier for you.
no subject
Text would be easier. I can write the word and send you a picture, then it's on your shellphone. I will make certain to write it in all three methods if there is a way in all three methods.
no subject
Or wait, what do you guys call your teachers in Japan?
no subject
I can't tell if you're trying to be sarcastic.
[Not if he's in person or on here.]
Shoto will be fine if you'd like to. The word you're looking for is Sensei, but I have not earned it.
[To which the next picture with the words and letters arranged in their proper formats comes through.]
That can be your first one.
no subject
Alright, Sensei Shoto! I'll be looking forward to learning a lot from you!
no subject
It would be Shoto Sensei. Lesson 2.
I will contact you again soon with another lesson. Maybe you can teach me, too.
Take care.
